Confirm the Completed Scope

• The line flows properly, confirmed by a final camera or inspection
• Any access points are properly closed or restored
• No remaining excavation or open trenches on the property

Collect the Records

Ask for the camera footage or report showing the finished line, any permit and inspection documents, and a record of who performed the work. These documents support any future questions — whether for a home sale, a warranty, or your own records.

Keeping the before-and-after footage together tells the full story of what the line's condition was and what the work addressed.

Review Restoration and Maintenance

Walk the area where work was performed and confirm the restoration matches what was promised — backfill, grading, and any surface repair. If hardscape or landscaping was left for you to coordinate, confirm that's understood.

Finally, ask about maintenance that helps the new line last, such as periodic inspection or what to watch for over time. A good walkthrough leaves you with a finished project and the records to back it up.
